EasyJet has urged passengers flying from Manchester Airport from tomorrow to allow “extra time” for their journey as the airline moves its operations to Terminal 2.

The airline is the latest to make the move as the airport moves closer to the completion of its £1.3billion transformation project.

From Wednesday, November 18, all easyJet flights will operate from Terminal 2 for both departures and arrivals.

In a statement on its website, easyJet said: “From November 19 2025, all easyJet flights at Manchester Airport will operate from Terminal 2, for both departures and arrivals.

This move is part of Manchester Airport’s project designed to bring upgraded facilities and an even better travel experience for customers.

“From November 19, you’ll need to head to Terminal 2 when you fly with us from Manchester, and you’ll also arrive back into Terminal 2 when you return.

“We recommend allowing a little extra time for your journey while you get used to the new terminal and following the airport signage on the day to help you find your way quickly and easily.”

As part of the transformation programme Terminal 1 will close and more than 75 per cent of all passengers will use the extended and renovated Terminal 2, set to become the beating heart of the airport.

The space from the closure of Terminal 1 will also be used to expand Terminal 3, which is also being upgraded.

A multi-million renovation project is already underway in Terminal 3, with some parts due to open early next year, including a new sports bar Sporting Chance.
